Elena Zusman

Born in 1979, I am an artist based in New Jersey. My work is often a direct expression of moments and emotions as I create. My goal is to convey the feelings I experience during the creative process into the final piece. I draw inspiration from the music I listen to or films that influence me while painting. Music plays a significant role in my process, often transporting me to a space where my creativity flows freely, allowing me to embrace the spontaneity and fluidity of art. My artwork often features either neutral or bold colors, layers of lines and marks, and the use of negative space that reveals the texture of the canvas, adding an element of rawness. Each piece often conveys a sense of movement and direction. I love making highly textured, abstract art and whatever I’m inspired by at the moment.
